The Illinois State women's golf team is set to compete in the NCAA Regionals for the second time in three seasons. This year's event will take place at the Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan, hosted by Michigan State University from May 6-8.

The Redbird lineup includes Ali Schrock, Jinyoung Yun, Vinisha Gunaseelan, Avalon Woodward, and Michaela Kverkova. Dani Grace Schrock will serve as an alternate. The team recently secured their second MVC title in three seasons, with Schrock tying for first overall and Yun finishing third.

This marks Illinois State's ninth appearance at the NCAA Regionals. Their best performance was a ninth-place finish in 2004. In recent years, they have participated in various regional events, including Stillwater in 2022 and Norman in 2013.

Forest Akers West Golf Course is recognized as one of the premier collegiate facilities in the country. It has received accolades such as a four-star rating from Golf Digest and high rankings from local publications. The course serves both as a golf facility and an arboretum, featuring a wide variety of native trees and shrubs.
