Director Jeff Bovee commented on their performance: "Our men competed very hard and we hit on most of our scoring opportunities so we feel good about our execution... Our women just about eclipsed our pre-conference ranking with our third-place finish."

The final standings saw Indiana State lead both categories; their men scored first place with a total score of 221.5 points and their women achieved first place as well.

Athletes who qualified for further competition will proceed to Fayetteville for the NCAA West Preliminary Round from May 22-25, aiming to secure spots at the NCAA outdoor championships scheduled for June in Eugene, Oregon.
