Illinois State University wrapped up its 2023-24 season with record-breaking performances at the NCAA Regional in East Lansing, Michigan. The Redbirds achieved their lowest NCAA Regional team score in program history, recording a total of 918. This surpasses the previous best of 929 set during the 2004 season at ISU's home course.

Jinyoung Yun also made history by achieving the lowest individual score by an ISU golfer in an NCAA Regional with a three-round total of 221. This score is one stroke better than Samantha Richdale's 222 from the same year, although on a par-71 course. The previous lowest individual par-72 score was held by Rachel Powers, who carded a 225 in 2013.

Throughout the season, Illinois State set several records including an individual low scoring average of 72.6 by Jinyoung Yun and a lowest career scoring average of 75.8 by Avalon Woodward. Ali Schrock set records for most career rounds and strokes with totals of 133 and 10,122 respectively. The team also achieved its lowest single-season scoring average at 297.4, beating the previous record of 303.5, and recorded a total of 35 rounds at or under par.

In their final round as collegiate golfers, Yun, Schrock, and Woodward each scored a final-round 74 while Vinisha Gunaseelan carded an 81 and Michaela Kverkova an 82. Yun tied for the 27th position overall for the three rounds while Schrock tied for the 31st spot. Woodward finished in the 60th place and Kverkova came in at the 61st position within a competitive field.
