Illinois State University has announced the addition of Ryan McCoy as an assistant coach for its swimming and diving team. Head coach Riley Hilbrandt expressed enthusiasm about McCoy joining the staff, highlighting his collegiate career and coaching experience.
"I am very excited to add Ryan to our staff and have him be a part of the Redbird family," Hilbrandt stated. She praised McCoy's passion for the sport and his understanding of the coach-student-athlete relationship. "We can't wait to get Ryan to Normal and get to work."
McCoy previously coached at the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) for four seasons, where he contributed to the men's team's first national title. Under his guidance, UIndy achieved eight event national titles at Division II Championships and produced 76 All-Americans.

"I'm very excited to become a member of the Redbird family," said McCoy. He expressed gratitude towards Coach Hilbrandt for the opportunity and shared excitement about contributing to the program's future.
