The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team is set to play four games over three days from April 5 to April 7. The Titans will face Elmhurst University on Friday, April 5, at Horenberger Field with a game starting at 4 p.m. This match was initially scheduled earlier but was postponed due to bad weather. Following this, the team will travel to Naperville, Illinois, for a doubleheader against North Central College on Saturday, April 6. They will conclude the weekend with another game against North Central back at home.

The Titans enter the weekend with an overall record of 13-7 and are currently 3-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Elmhurst University holds a record of 5-14 overall and is 1-2 in league games. Meanwhile, North Central College stands at 7-10 overall and is undefeated in conference play with a record of 2-0.

Illinois Wesleyan and Elmhurst have faced each other 102 times since 1988, with IWU leading the series with a record of 77-25. However, Elmhurst won their last encounter on April 15, 2023, with a score of 11-3.

In contrast, the series between IWU and North Central has been more competitive. The Titans lead this matchup with a record of 65-51. Their longest winning streak against North Central was from 2004 to 2008 when they won eighteen consecutive games.

Junior Justin Gadomski from Schaumburg was named CCIW Hitter of the Week following his performance that included sweeping Carroll University. Gadomski achieved a .500 batting average last week along with two doubles and one home run.

Another standout player is Junior Dalen Banks from Springfield who pitched seven scoreless innings last week as part of nine pitchers used by IWU. Banks allowed only four hits during their win over Carroll.
