The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team faced Millikin University in a doubleheader on April 27, as part of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Titans were unable to secure a win, losing both games to the Big Blue. With these losses, IWU's overall record stands at 22-11 and 11-5 in the CCIW. Millikin's victories improved their record to 22-12 and 12-3 in conference play.

In the first game, Millikin secured a commanding victory with a score of 12-0. They took an early lead with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Although IWU had an opportunity to score in the fourth inning with bases loaded, they couldn't capitalize due to a double play. The Big Blue added ten more runs in the fifth inning, aided by errors from IWU.

Millikin outhit IWU eight to four, while Justin Gadomski led IWU's offense going two-for-two. Will Davidsmeier was on the mound for IWU but suffered his first loss of the season despite recording six strikeouts over four innings.

In game two, Millikin continued their strong performance with a 9-1 win over IWU. The Titans managed to score one run when John Philip Ferraro hit into right field allowing Gadomski to reach home plate after starting off with a single earlier in that inning.

Dalen Banks pitched for 5.2 innings for IWU but also took a loss bringing his record down to 5-3 this season.

Ferraro stood out offensively going three-for-four and earning an RBI during this second match-up between these teams on Saturday afternoon; however no other player scored beyond him throughout either contest played today here at Decatur’s campus grounds under clear skies above us all witnessing such events unfold before our eyes collectively together within shared experiences unfolding momentarily across space-time continuums alike simultaneously now forever etched into memories past present future potentially limitless possibilities awaiting discovery yet still unknown till revealed eventually someday perhaps maybe who knows really?

Illinois Wesleyan will face Blackburn College next Tuesday at Horenberger Field.
