The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team is set to play three games this weekend, facing Augustana College in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 13, and Monmouth College on Sunday, April 14. The Titans currently hold an overall record of 16-9 and a conference record of 6-1. All games will take place at Horenberger Field in Bloomington, Illinois.

On Saturday, the Titans will meet the Vikings of Augustana College for two matches scheduled at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The Titans recently secured a win against Wheaton College with a walk-off sacrifice fly, concluding the game at 13-12 in the ninth inning. This victory improved their conference record to 6-3. Meanwhile, the Vikings hold a record of 16-10 overall and are 3-5 in the conference after losing to North Park University with a score of 10-2.

The history between Illinois Wesleyan and Augustana dates back to 1988, with IWU leading the all-time series at 71-64. The first encounter saw IWU win both games with scores of 9-8 and 17-13.

On Sunday, IWU will face Monmouth College at 1 p.m. The Scots have an overall record of 11-11. Historically, IWU has dominated this matchup with a series record of 13-2.

Junior Justin Gadomski leads the Titans with a batting average of .404, followed by senior Louis Perona at .386. Together they account for significant contributions in hits and at-bats this season.
