The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams participated in the H.W. Wright Classic at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, on September 1. The event saw notable performances from both teams.

In the women's race, four athletes from Illinois Wesleyan secured top-10 positions. Sophomore Adriana Crabtree and junior Analese Chudy led the team by finishing fourth and fifth respectively, both recording a time of 16:41.50. Amanda Wilson followed closely with a sixth-place finish at 17:19.00, while Tia Hardt took seventh place with a time of 17:24.80.

On the men's side, Nick Fisch was the standout performer for Illinois Wesleyan, finishing eighth with a time of 21:06.40. Josh Tong also made it into the top 20 runners by securing the 18th spot with a time of 21:12.20.

Millikin University emerged victorious in both team categories, achieving perfect scores for their men's team with 15 points and their women's team scoring 23 points. Illinois Wesleyan's men finished second with a total of 60 points while their women scored 32 points to also secure second place. Illinois College's men's team placed third with a score of 69 points.

The Titans are scheduled to compete next at Illinois State University's Redbird Invite on September 15 at Weibring Golf Course starting at 5 p.m.
