The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams announced their 2023 award winners at a banquet held on December 10. Junior Nick Fisch from Woodridge, Illinois, and sophomore Adriana Crabtree from Normal, Illinois, were voted the "Most Valuable Player" for the men's and women's teams, respectively. Additional awards were given to junior Annalese Chudy, freshmen Skyler Tomecki, and Aidan Nishimura.

Nick Fisch served as one of three captains during his junior season. He was named both the team's MVP and received the "Hardest Worker" award. Fisch was the top finisher in five out of six meets during the 2023 season, including achieving a season-best time of 26:06.9 at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships on November 11.

Adriana Crabtree excelled in her sophomore year as the Titans' top finisher in all seven events. Her best performance was recorded at the Augustana Interregional Invitational with a time of 21:56.8. Crabtree earned multiple honors including College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Individual Champion, CCIW Student-Athlete of the Meet, First Team All-CCIW member, and an All-Region honoree. She qualified for her first NCAA Cross Country Championship this year, finishing 105th with a time of 22:34.6.

Annalese Chudy was recognized as the women's team's "Hardest Worker." She became the program's first back-to-back individual qualifier for the NCAA Championships and earned All-CCIW First Team and All-Region honors for two consecutive seasons.

Skyler Tomecki was named the women's "Newcomer of the Year," while Aidan Nishimura received this honor for the men's team. Tomecki competed in five races with her best time being 25:36.70 at the Redbird Invite on September 15. Nishimura participated in all six events for men this season; his top performance was at the CCIW Championships on October 28 with a finish time of 28:38.8.

Head Coach Greg Huffaker awarded letters to nineteen student-athletes across both teams, fourteen of whom are expected to return for the next season.
