The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams are preparing for the Augustana Interregional Invitational, scheduled for Saturday, October 14, at the Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Illinois. The men's 8-kilometer race will commence at 11 a.m., followed by the women's 6-kilometer race at 11:45 a.m.

The event will host over 45 teams, including four other College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin teams. Among the competitors are nine of the top ten regional men's teams, featuring North Central College ranked first and Wartburg College ranked second. On the women's side, seven of the top ten teams will compete, including the University of Chicago in first place, Wartburg in second place, and Illinois Wesleyan University Titans ranked ninth.

In their recent competition at the Dan Huston Invitational on September 30, both squads from Illinois Wesleyan University delivered several season-best performances. Sophomore Adriana Crabtree achieved a time of 23:48.20 to secure 13th place, while junior Annalese Chudy finished in 18th place with a time of 23:57.40. The Titans placed fifth as a team.

For the men's team, junior Nick Fisch finished in 56th place with a time of 27:13.90, and sophomore Zack Daniel secured the 95th position with a time of 27:54.60, leading their team to finish in 14th place.

The day's events will begin with the men's race at 11 a.m., followed by the women's race at 11:45 a.m. A men's open race is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., with a women's open race following at 1:15 p.m. Live results can be accessed online, and official results will be posted on IWUsports.com after both races conclude.
