After a significant victory the previous day, Illinois Wesleyan University's baseball team continued their strong performance with a decisive 12-0 win against St. Joseph's College (Maine) on March 11 in Auburndale, Florida. This victory improved the Titans' record to 6-3 for the season, while the Monks fell to 1-5.

The Titans' offensive surge began in the second inning with eight runs on six hits. Cade Tomhave initiated the scoring with a single, followed by Jack Flagg's triple that brought in the first run. A balk and two RBI singles increased the lead to 4-0. The inning concluded with Flagg delivering a two-run single, giving Illinois Wesleyan an 8-0 advantage.

Pitcher Will Davidsmeier navigated through challenges in the third inning, successfully stranding two runners with a strikeout and double play.

In subsequent innings, Illinois Wesleyan extended their lead. Louis Perona, Tyler Woltman, and Justin Gadomski contributed consecutive singles, setting up Tristan Figus who drove in another run. By the fourth inning, the Titans led 10-0 and added two more runs through three hits and an error.

Davidsmeier maintained momentum with a perfect fifth inning before Brady Hartman and Lukas Wenz closed out the seven-inning game.

Flagg led the offense with three hits in three at-bats, four RBIs, and one run scored. Perona and Woltman each had two hits from two at-bats with Woltman scoring twice. Gadomski and Figus also had multi-hit games.

Davidsmeier pitched five innings, allowing four hits while striking out five batters to secure his first win of the season.

Illinois Wesleyan will continue their spring break road trip against University of Southern Maine on March 12 at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale.
