Illinois Wesleyan men's golf team starts spring season at Jekyll Island

The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team is set to begin their spring season at the Jekyll Island Collegiate in St. Simons Island, Georgia. The tournament will take place from March 22 to March 24 and is hosted by Oglethorpe University at the King and Prince Golf Course.

Illinois Wesleyan, ranked fourth in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll, will be competing against several other ranked teams. These include No. 3 Oglethorpe, No. 6 Carnegie Mellon, No. 7 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, and others such as Sewanee, Christopher Newport, Huntingdon, Guilford, Greensboro, Denison, Hampden-Sydney, Kenyon, LaGrange, NYU, Piedmont, Randolph-Macon, Redlands, Rhodes, Roanoke, Rochester, Berry, Skidmore, Southwestern and Transylvania.

Representing Illinois Wesleyan are fifth-year senior Bobby Beaubien from Barrington; juniors Quinn Clifford from Chicago and Griffin Pohl from Western Springs; along with sophomores Michael Spitzer from Hinsdale and Juney Bai from Mokena.
