Illinois Wesleyan University's women's soccer team is preparing to face Elmhurst University on Wednesday, October 18. The match will take place at Neis Field at 7 p.m. This game marks the Titans' penultimate contest in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) regular season.

The Titans have recently gained momentum, improving their record to 2-11-2 overall and 1-4-1 in CCIW play after securing a 1-0-1 record last week. On October 11, they faced the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in a non-conference match where sophomore Sawyer White assisted fellow sophomore Sammie Shanks in scoring a crucial goal in the 89th minute, resulting in a tie against the Warhawks.

On Senior Day, October 14, Illinois Wesleyan celebrated with a 1-0 victory over North Park University. Sawyer White contributed her second assist of the week with a corner kick that led junior Audrey Hofstetter to score her first goal of the season. Freshman goalkeeper Adriana Ruffolo played all 180 minutes across both games, achieving an impressive .917 save percentage with 11 saves.

Elmhurst University enters Wednesday's match with a record of 4-7-3 and is still seeking its first conference win (0-5-1 CCIW). Last week, Elmhurst lost to Millikin twice—first by a score of 1-0 on October 11 and then by 4-0 on October 14. Kelli Coughlin leads Elmhurst's scorers with seven goals and one assist this season.
