The Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team is set to face the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in a match scheduled for Saturday, March 23. The game will take place at Tucci Stadium and is set to start at 1 p.m.

Illinois Wesleyan, known as the Titans, comes into this contest with a record of 5-2, following their recent victory over Calvin University on Wednesday night. This win marked the program's 100th victory and extended their winning streak to four games. Key performances in that game included senior Britney Maldonado, who scored seven points with four goals and three assists, along with five ground balls and five caused turnovers. Junior Mia Fiandaca also contributed significantly with four goals.

Maldonado has been outstanding this season, leading the nation in assists with 42 and maintaining an average of six assists per game. Her total of 64 points ranks second nationally, while her average of 9.14 points per game is third highest in the country.

Fiandaca leads the Titans in goals scored this season with a total of 27. She is followed by Maldonado and sophomore Carleigh Fountain, each with 22 goals. Defensively, junior Bri Kiser has recorded all minutes as goalkeeper for Illinois Wesleyan this season, posting 67 saves with a .421 save percentage.

This weekend's match marks only the second meeting between Illinois Wesleyan and UW-La Crosse. In their previous encounter on March 26, 2022, IWU narrowly defeated UWL by a score of 12-11.

UW-La Crosse enters Saturday's game holding a record of 4-1 after experiencing a loss against Aurora University earlier this week.
