Four members of the Illinois State women's golf team have been recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) as All-Scholar-Athletes for the 2024-25 season. The athletes named to this academic list are Jinyoung Yun, Lory Paradis, Morgan Jones, and Jessica Jolly.
To qualify for this honor, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, remain amateurs on their team's roster through the end of the season, and participate in at least half of their program's competitive rounds during the year. They are nominated through their team's conference championship.
Jinyoung Yun achieved notable success this season with a stroke average of 72.5, setting new records for both Illinois State and the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). She was honored as the MVC Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year and received titles such as 2025 MVC Golfer of the Year and All-MVC. Yun also joined an elite group by becoming only the third golfer in MVC history to earn Golfer of the Year honors consecutively. Her performance included tying for fourth at the 2025 MVC Championship and securing nine top-10 finishes across 11 tournaments.
Morgan Jones earned recognition as the 2025 MVC Newcomer of the Year alongside her All-MVC designation. With a scoring average of 73.3, she ranked second on her team and within her conference this season. Over 33 rounds, she achieved scores at or under par in twelve instances and finished in the top-10 six times out of twelve events.
Lory Paradis completed her sole season with Illinois State as a graduate transfer with an average score per round of 74.6 strokes, ranking fourth among Redbirds players. Her performance included nine rounds at or under par throughout the year and a sixth-place finish at the 2025 MVC Championship.
Jessica Jolly was previously named All-MVC after achieving an average score per round of 75.4 strokes last season. Her accomplishments include four top-10 finishes and three tournaments where her aggregate score was under par.
