Devon Hanson, a sophomore from Waukesha, Wisconsin, has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. The announcement was made by the league's office on Tuesday, April 16. Hanson is part of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team.

This recognition brings the total number of conference player of the week honors for the Titans to seven this season. Senior Britney Maldonado was named offensive player of the week three consecutive times in March, while junior Mia Fiandaca received defensive honors on March 5. Hanson had previously earned her first accolade on March 12.

During the week of April 8-13, Hanson contributed significantly to her team's performance, including leading them to their first victory over Carroll since 2019. She scored six goals on ten shots across two games, averaging three goals per game. Additionally, she recorded eight draw controls and eight caused turnovers during that period.

In a match against Carthage on April 10, Hanson achieved three ground balls, caused turnovers, and draw controls each. Her performance continued against Carroll on April 13 with five draw controls and a career-high six goals in an 11-9 win. She also set a personal best with five caused turnovers in that game.

The Titans are scheduled to play against Elmhurst University in a CCIW matchup on Wednesday, April 17 at Langhorst Field with a start time of 7 p.m.
