The Illinois Wesleyan University softball team is set to host a non-conference doubleheader against Illinois College on Tuesday, March 26. The games will take place at Inspiration Field, with the first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m.

Illinois Wesleyan's Titans currently hold an 8-4 record and are riding a six-game winning streak. In their recent home opener on March 21, they secured victories over Monmouth College with scores of 21-2 and 7-1. On the other hand, Illinois College stands at a 5-10 record after splitting games with Fontbonne University on March 23.

The Titans have demonstrated strong offensive performance in their first twelve games, maintaining a team slash line of .346/.476/.414. Junior Jen Kuhn leads the team with a .500 batting average and also tops slugging and on-base percentages at .700 and .556 respectively. Sophomore Anna Beckman follows closely with a .481 batting average. Freshman Hailey Milgazo and sophomore Casey Wissmiller are hitting .459 and .422 respectively, with Wissmiller leading in RBIs (14) and home runs (3).

On the pitching side, sophomores Gianna Certa and Caroline Gatchell have been key contributors. Certa boasts a team-best earned run average of 1.53 across 32 innings, while Gatchell holds an ERA of 3.08; both have achieved records of three wins to one loss each this season. Freshman Mallory Holland has recorded an ERA of 3.34 over her time on the mound.
