The Illinois Wesleyan University track and field teams are gearing up for a busy week, participating in three separate meets. The events begin with a trip to Monmouth College for a meet on April 22, followed by participation in the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, scheduled from April 24 to April 26. The final competition this week will take place on April 25 at the Millikin Friday Night Invite in Decatur, Illinois.

Recently, the teams performed notably at the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. Junior Evan Lowder won the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.30 seconds, and senior Lauren Huber achieved the second-best heptathlon performance in the school's history with a score of 4821 points.

The track and field teams currently have six event marks ranked in the top-25 nationally in Division III. Huber stands out among her teammates with top-25 ranks in the heptathlon and high jump. Senior Carlyssa King is notable in the hammer throw, while sophomore Imani Ogunribido ranks tenth in the triple jump. Lowder holds an eleventh-place rank in the 400 meters.

A broad squad of Titans will compete at Monmouth College, with events beginning at 4 p.m. Recognized athletes heading to the 115th Drake Relays include Annalese Chudy in the women's 5000 meters, Adriana Crabtree in the 1500 meters, Lowder in the 400 meters, and Ogunribido in the triple jump. Lowder will pair with three teammates for the 4-by-400-meter relay and Crabtree will participate in the distance medley relay with three fellow students.

Results from all three meets will be available on the Illinois Wesleyan sports website.
