After an impressive performance, senior Britney Maldonado from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, has been named the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Co-Offensive Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the organization on Tuesday, March 19. Maldonado shares this honor with Mary Manzsche from Salisbury University. Additionally, Salisbury's Natalie Held received the defensive accolade.

This national award is a first for Maldonado and marks only the second time in her program's history that such recognition has been achieved. She follows in the footsteps of Janaye Godfrey, who earned a defensive accolade on March 9, 2021.

Maldonado had an outstanding week offensively, leading her team to two victories. Over the week, she accumulated 28 points, averaging 14 points per game. Her contributions included 22 assists and six goals. Furthermore, she recorded three caused turnovers and two ground balls. Of the Titans' total of 39 goals during the week, Maldonado was involved in 28 of them.

In a match against Linfield on Tuesday, March 12, Maldonado set new program records and made NCAA history with her performance. Her conference-record of 17 points in that game ranks tied for third all-time in NCAA Division III history and surpassed her previous program record by six points. She finished with 14 assists during that match—an achievement unmatched across Divisions I, II, and III—and five more than any other player in Division III.

Maldonado continued her exceptional form with an 11-point performance against Puget Sound on Thursday, March 14. The Titans concluded their spring break trip with a decisive victory of 17-6.

The next game for Maldonado and her team will be on Wednesday, March 20 when Illinois Wesleyan University hosts Calvin University at Tucci Stadium.
