In the opening game, Illinois Wesleyan took an early lead thanks to junior Jen Kuhn's run-scoring single after sophomore Anna Beckman reached base. Freshman Elyssa Stenger extended the lead with a bases-loaded walk. The Titans added another run in the fourth inning through Casey Wissmiller's RBI single. A five-run rally in the fifth inning, highlighted by Megan Fontanetta's delayed steal and further hits from Beckman, Hailey Milgazo, Kuhn, and Wissmiller, sealed the game at 8-0.
Pitcher Certa contributed three strikeouts in her complete game effort, improving her season record to 13-2.
The second game saw an explosive performance from Illinois Wesleyan's offense. Senior Hope Yeoman had a standout day alongside Bailey Turner and Kuhn, each hitting home runs.
