The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team participated in its inaugural NCAA tournament game on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The Titans faced off against the University of Chicago, the reigning national champions, at Stagg Field. The match concluded with a 3-1 defeat for the Titans, marking the end of their season with a record of 6-7-5.

In the first half, the Titans put up a strong fight but conceded an early goal from a penalty kick in the 21st minute. The Maroons extended their lead with another goal in the 37th minute, going into halftime with a 2-0 advantage.

The second half saw a defensive struggle for the initial 20 minutes until Illinois Wesleyan managed to score. Junior Declan Nugent executed a corner kick that senior Ryan Miller converted into a header goal, narrowing the score to 2-1.

However, just eight minutes later, the Maroons responded with another goal, finalizing the match at 3-1 and ending IWU's season. Sophomore Sam Kedzior contributed by making six saves during the game.
