The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team held its annual banquet on December 12, where they announced the award winners for the 2023 season. Senior Brody Seaton and sophomore Sam Kedzior were named as the team's "Co-Most Valuable Player." Junior Will McNulty received recognition as the team's "Most Improved Player."
Seaton and Kedzior both had significant contributions to their team this season. Seaton scored three goals, including a crucial game-winner in the conference championship with only two minutes remaining. Kedzior served as the main goalkeeper for the Titans, stepping up in high-pressure situations during overtime shootouts in the conference tournament, which aided their progression to the national tournament.
McNulty played a pivotal role throughout his 1247 minutes on the field, contributing both defensively and offensively. His abilities in throw-ins and free kicks were instrumental in helping IWU reach its first-ever run in the national tournament.
Head Coach Kyle Schauls awarded letters to 25 student-athletes, with 19 of them returning for next season.
