Illinois Wesleyan University's junior goalkeeper, Colin Tervo, has been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Defensive Player of the Week. This marks the first time Tervo has received this weekly accolade in his career.
The Titans improved their season record to 4-3 following a victory over Albion College on March 23, with a final score of 15-8. In this match, Tervo contributed significantly by making 17 saves, just one short of his personal best, achieving a .680 save percentage.
Although Illinois Wesleyan has not yet played a CCIW game this season, Tervo is currently ranked fourth in the conference for saves per game at an average of 11.57. His overall save percentage stands at .523, placing him sixth in the rankings.
The team is set to return to Tucci Stadium on March 28 to face Southwestern University at 7:30 p.m.
