The seventh annual "Victory With Honor Senior Banquet" took place on Sunday, April 28, in Bloomington, Illinois. The event recognized senior student-athletes from Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) with various awards for their athletic achievements and contributions to the community.
Lexi Onsrud and Emma Thorman, both women's golfers, were awarded the Barb Cothren Award. This award is named after a longtime IWU coach and women's athletic administrator. Bobby Beaubien, a men's golfer, received the Dennie Bridges Award, named in honor of a former IWU coach and athletic director.
Joshua Klein, who participates in men's track and field as well as football, was honored with the Jason Jones True Titan Award. This award recognizes a senior student-athlete who exemplifies outstanding character within the Titan Athletic Community. It is named after Jason Jones, a former Titan athlete who passed away in 2015.
Taylor Babec from women's volleyball received the Steve Doran Award for her significant community service efforts as part of the Titan Athletic Community. The award commemorates Steve Doran, an IWU alumnus known for his humanitarian work in oral surgery before his death in 2018.
Additionally, the Order of Titans awards were presented to senior athletes selected by IWU's coaching and physical education staff based on academic performance, athletic contributions, and general citizenship.
