The McLean County Times, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has sent a request for records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.

The requested information includes a list of all parking violations currently unpaid in the city. Specifically, we are seeking the name of the offender, their address, the amount due, violation date, and total due. This information is crucial in our ongoing efforts to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public.

As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we believe that access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. Given our role in disseminating information, we have also requested for a fee waiver as a media professional.

We await the response from City of Pontiac regarding this matter and will continue our commitment towards providing comprehensive news coverage on local governmental affairs.
