Liza Wiley earns all-conference second team honors in women's soccer

Illinois Wesleyan University's Liza Wiley has been recognized as a member of the All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Second Team. The announcement was made on November 1, marking Wiley's achievement as one of three freshmen to earn this distinction.

Wiley played a significant role at center midfield for the Titans, leading as the top scorer for her team during the season. Despite missing two games due to injury, she participated in six out of eight conference matches, contributing four points through two goals in a match against Wheaton on October 9.

Junior Bree Cordray from Illinois Wesleyan received recognition with the CCIW RESPECT award.

The conference also highlighted individual awards: Elle Sutter from North Central was named CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year; Kassandra Salviola from North Central earned Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year; Caitlin Fitzsimons from Carroll was selected as Goalkeeper of the Year; Izzy Jones from Millikin was honored as First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year; and Susie Foster from Elmhurst received Coach of the Year.

The All-CCIW First Team includes players such as Liesl Whitener from Augustana and several members from Carroll, including Caitlin Fitzsimons and Mari Sagstad. Other notable first-team members include Sarah Andrey and Madison DeVriendt from North Central.

Joining Wiley on the All-CCIW Second Team are athletes like Kenzie Blau from Carroll, Katy Bearden from Millikin, and Grace Crowder from Wheaton.

The CCIW RESPECT Award recipients were announced alongside other honorees, recognizing players across various teams for their sportsmanship and conduct. These include Allison Gibeau from Augustana and Shay Montayre from Wheaton among others.
