Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer players Maya Flemming and Jenna Gravitt have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees. This marks the first time both juniors have received this recognition.
The CSC Academic All-District Teams celebrate student-athletes who excel both in their sports and academics. Eligibility criteria include a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participation in at least 90 percent, or starting in at least 66 percent, of their team's matches.
Flemming, majoring in pre-medicine and biochemistry with a GPA of 3.73, has become a regular starter for Illinois Wesleyan University as a defender during the 2024 season. She participated in 17 out of the Titans' 18 games, starting in 14. On September 21 against Monmouth, she achieved a career-high by scoring two goals, including the game-winner. Last season, Flemming was recognized as a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Academic All-Conference honoree.
Gravitt is pursuing a computer science degree with an impressive GPA of 3.92. The junior midfielder played in 16 of the Titans' 18 games this season and scored her first goal for IWU against Monmouth on September 21 after transferring to the university before her sophomore year.
