The Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) men's and women's swimming and diving teams are preparing to host the annual IWU Invite this Saturday, November 23, at Fort Natatorium. The event will begin at 1 p.m., featuring a competition against Washington University in St. Louis (WashU).

Earlier this month, on November 9, both IWU teams faced off against Augustana College in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin dual meet but were defeated by the Vikings.

In their most recent outing, WashU participated in the D3 Shootout at the University of Chicago on November 9. The Bears secured second place with 597.5 points for the men's team and third place with 552 points for the women's team.

Historically, WashU has been successful at the IWU Invite, having placed first last year while IWU's Titans secured second place in both categories.

Since the 2016-17 season, WashU has consistently attended this event held annually on the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Spectators can view the meet via live stream on IWU swimming and diving's official Facebook page. Results will be posted on iwusports.com after the competition concludes.
