Did Tri-Valley Community Unit School District 3 students succeed or flounder in their 2022-23 school year Math tests?

In the 2022-23 school year, 56.1% of the students in Tri-Valley Community Unit School District 3 passed the Math portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of the 539 students in Tri-Valley Community Unit School District 3 who took the Math portion of the test, approximately 302 (56.1%) passed.

The percentage of Tri-Valley Community Unit School District 3 students who met or exceeded expectations on the IAR increased by 2.8% compared to the previous school year.

Tri-Valley Community Unit School District 3 roughly covers three schools within McLean County and has a main office in Downs.

The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) assesses the progress of students in grades 3-8 in meeting the Illinois Learning Standards in English language arts and mathematics.

According to the 2024 Illinois Report Card, math proficiency among Illinois students in grades 3-8 remains below pre-pandemic levels, while reading performance has recovered. Meanwhile, 11th graders have experienced significant declines in both subjects, falling below pre-pandemic benchmarks.
