The Illinois State women's golf team is set to resume its season at the Sea Best Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, Florida. The tournament will take place on January 27 and 28 at the San Jose Country Club. This marks the first time the Redbirds have participated in this event.
After a successful fall season, which saw them ranked 99th nationally, the Redbirds are eager to compete against a diverse field of teams. Participants include Florida (ranked 26th), Florida Gulf Coast (56th), South Alabama (104th), and others from various divisions.
The Redbird lineup for this tournament features Jinyoung Yun, Morgan Jones, Elise Fennell, Jessica Jolly, and Lory Paradis.
San Jose Country Club's course spans approximately 100 acres with an 18-hole layout measuring 7,043 yards from professional tees. It offers five different tee options on a par-72 course designed to challenge golfers of all skill levels. Recent renovations by architect Dan Schlegel have restored parts of the course to its original design by Donald Ross from 1925.
