The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced the recipients of the Academic All-Conference honors for the 2024 fall season. A total of 84 student-athletes from Illinois Wesleyan University were recognized on the Dave Wrath Academic All-CCIW team. Among them, senior football player Josh Hlavacek and senior women's golfer Macy Ludwig received IWU's Jack Swartz Awards.
The CCIW Academic All-Conference list includes individuals who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.30 or above and have completed at least one year in residency at their respective schools.
Additionally, the CCIW revealed all recipients of the Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference award. Each member institution selects two student-athletes, one male and one female, from each sports season—fall, winter, spring—to be honored as Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference members. Eligibility requires a grade point average of 3.50 or above and at least one year in residency.
Josh Hlavacek was a First Team All-CCIW selection and co-captain for the Titans this past season. He was named to the D3football.com All-Region 5 Third Team after achieving a career-high with 41 tackles, nine tackles for loss, five sacks, and six quarterback hurries. He holds a 3.76 GPA as a biology major.
Macy Ludwig had an outstanding senior season in golf for the Titans. She participated in five tournaments with four top-10 finishes and three top-five placements. Ludwig won the CCIW Championship with a record-breaking performance to lead Illinois Wesleyan to its third consecutive conference title. She also received the CCIW Elite 26 award for excellence both academically and athletically.
