For the first time in the 2025 season, Illinois Wesleyan University's men's lacrosse team has received recognition from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Senior goalkeeper Colin Tervo was named Defensive Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office on Tuesday afternoon, February 25.

Tervo played nearly 59 minutes in goal against Aurora University on Saturday, February 22. He made a total of 19 saves during the game, which was just two short of his career-high. His efforts were crucial in leading the Titan defense to allow only seven goals, resulting in a 13-7 victory over the Spartans.

Following this performance, Tervo's season saves total increased to 44, with an average of 14.67 saves per game. This places him at the top of the conference standings for saves per game.

Illinois Wesleyan is scheduled to play against Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois on Wednesday, February 26. The match will take place at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex and is set to begin at 6 p.m.
