The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team is set to travel to Gulf Shores, Alabama, for its spring break trip from March 10 to March 14. The Titans, currently holding a record of 6-7, will start their series of matches against the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Monday, March 10, at 8 a.m.

Following the initial match, IWU will face the University of St. Thomas (Texas) on Tuesday, March 11, at 11 a.m., and Belhaven University on Wednesday, March 12, at 9 a.m. The team's trip will conclude with a match against Earlham College on Friday, March 14, at 11 a.m.

This trip comes after a narrow defeat by Cornell College on Sunday, March 2. The Titans lost the match with a score of 4-3 despite winning the doubles point. Sophomores Amber Ehrlich and Olivia Bell secured victory in No. 1 doubles with a tiebreaker win of 7-6 (4). Freshmen Gabi Lipske and Katie Van Heuklon won their No. 2 doubles match with a score of 6-4. In singles play, Van Heuklon triumphed in the No. 3 singles slot with sets of 7-6 (4) and 6-1 while Bell claimed her second win in No. 4 singles with scores of 6-2 and 6-3.

Illinois Wesleyan's upcoming match against UW-Superior marks their third encounter; they lost both previous matches including a decisive defeat on March 13, last year. UW-Superior enters this matchup following a recent loss to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The Titans are set to meet St. Thomas (3-1), Belhaven (1-5), and Earlham (2-2) for the first time in program history during this trip. St. Thomas narrowly won its latest dual against Austin College while Belhaven seeks to end its five-match losing streak after falling to Piedmont University. Earlham approaches these games off a convincing win over Berea College.

Match results will be available on iwusports.com once competitions conclude.
