The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team secured a commanding victory over Baruch College in Fort Myers, Florida, on March 10, 2025. The Titans won with a score of 20-3, marking their fourth win of the season and evening their record at 4-4. Meanwhile, Baruch College's record fell to 1-8. Due to a rain delay affecting the first game, both teams agreed to cancel the second game.

The Titans started strong in the first inning with senior Tristan Figus hitting a base hit followed by Justin Gadomski's single. An error allowed both players to score early for IWU. Tyler Woltman was hit by a pitch and later scored along with Cade Tomhave due to Jimmy Gurgone's successful hit into left field.

Sophomore John Philip Ferraro continued the scoring streak with another hit that brought Gurgone home. Junior Gage Wolfe added to the effort by reaching base and setting up Gadomski for a triple that cleared all bases, pushing IWU's lead further.

IWU maintained momentum through subsequent innings, notably scoring three runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth. Senior Casey Swanson contributed significantly with his first two-run homer of the season during this stretch.

Despite weather delays in the fifth inning, IWU continued its offensive strategy until ending the game after seven innings with a decisive scoreline of 20-3. Freshman Derek Ittner marked his debut collegiate hit during this match.

Senior pitcher Dalen Banks earned his first win of the season with six strikeouts over four innings. Several other pitchers made appearances including freshman Brennan Tomhave and sophomore Caleb Martinez.

Justin Gadomski had an impressive performance going five-for-five while Ferraro also delivered solid results at bat.

Illinois Wesleyan is scheduled for a day off before facing Haverford College on March 12 at Terry Park Stadium.
