The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team, ranked third nationally, is set to start its spring season at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. The event will take place from March 21-23 at the Pine Lakes Golf Course in Jekyll Island, Georgia. Oglethorpe University will host the tournament.
The competition features a strong lineup of 30 teams, including the top five ranked teams: No. 1 Washington & Lee, No. 2 Methodist, No. 3 Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU), No. 4 Sewanee, and No. 5 Emory. Other notable participants include seventh-ranked Oglethorpe, eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon, and several other highly ranked institutions.
Representing Illinois Wesleyan are seniors Griffin Pohl and Quinn Clifford; juniors Michael Spitzer and Aidan Healy; freshman Pablo Castro; and junior Juney Bai competing individually.
The tournament begins on Friday, March 21 at 8 a.m., with live scoring available through Clippd's Scoreboard.
