The Illinois State women's golf team is set to participate in the More Than Golf Invitational this weekend in Aiken, South Carolina. The tournament marks the last southern event of the season for the team.
The competition will take place from March 28 through March 30, 2025, at the Old Barnwell Golf Club. This 18-hole course requires strategy and creativity, drawing inspiration from English heathland courses such as Woodhall Spa and Swinley Forest. Despite its challenges, the Old Barnwell course offers an experience that is accessible to both high handicappers and beginners.
The event will feature various participants, including Georgia Southern, Illinois State, Delaware, Georgetown, Dartmouth, Kennesaw State, Augusta, Charleston Southern, East Tennessee State, Columbia, Oakland, and UAlbany. The Illinois State team, making its debut at this event, will tee off alongside Oakland and Georgetown.
The team lineup for Illinois State is as follows: Jessica Jolly at 7:30 a.m., Lory Paradis at 7:40 a.m., Elise Fennell at 7:50 a.m., Morgan Jones at 8 a.m., Jinyoung Yun at 8:10 a.m., and Alex Sparrow at 8:20 a.m. as an individual player.
