Tickets are now available for the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) Fab 4 game where Illinois State will face Troy within CEFCU Arena. The match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and marks Illinois State's fourth WNIT semifinal appearance. However, the team is aiming to secure its first appearance in the WNIT championship game.
This event will be the first official meeting between the Illinois State program and the Troy team. The winner will proceed to challenge either Buffalo or Cleveland State on Saturday, April 5, at 4 p.m., with broadcast coverage on CBS Sports Network. The location for the WNIT Championship has yet to be finalized.
The Women's National Invitation Tournament features a competitive lineup of 48 teams, with 11 automatic qualifiers and 37 at-large selections based on various criteria set by the tournament officials. Among the participating teams, Illinois State stands out with 24 victories this season, contributing to the group of 22 teams with 20 or more wins. All tournament games will be played at host campus sites.
