Illinois Wesleyan University baseball player John Philip Ferraro has been included in the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, announced on April 9, 2025. The sophomore secured this recognition as the first Titan since 2022, following a notable performance in recent games against Elmhurst and Millikin. Ferraro played a pivotal role in the series sweep of Elmhurst during the weekend of April 5-6 and in a single encounter with Millikin on April 3. Over five victories for the Titans, Ferraro accumulated one double and hit three home runs.

Throughout the week, Ferraro achieved a 9-for-17 batting performance, starting in four out of the five games. He ended the period with a slugging percentage of 1.118, 10 RBIs, and five runs. Notably, Ferraro hit home runs in three games, starting with a two-run homer against Millikin, an insurance run in the first game against Elmhurst, and a three-run homer to regain the lead in the second game against Elmhurst.

D3baseball.com's Team of the Week is an honor that highlights top performers across nine positions based on nominations by sports information directors. This is the fourteenth season of the recognition program and the eighth installment for 2025. The Illinois Wesleyan Titans will return to action against Monmouth College at Jack Horenberger Field, with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. on April 9.

Ferraro joins the ranks of several other players on the D3baseball.com Week 8 Team, covering a range of positions from different colleges across the country.
