A trio of Illinois State University Redbirds has been named to the Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators. The honorees include juniors Tin Ostro from Zagreb, Croatia; Caden Scarlett from Evansville, Indiana; and Tomas Valencia from Santiago, Chile.

Head coach Mark Klysner expressed his pride in the achievements of these athletes: "I couldn't be more proud of these three young men and their accomplishments thus far. They worked so hard for this program and it's nice to see them recognized for the work they put in."

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Tennis Teams honor top student-athletes for their performance both on the court and in academics. The CSC Academic All-America program acknowledges athletes across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Tin Ostro was recognized as an All-Summit League Athlete of Champions Selection and received Summit League First Team Honors. He completed his junior year with an 8-11 singles record and a 3-6 doubles record alongside teammate Caden Scarlett. Ostro achieved notable victories against Marquette, New Mexico State, and Western Michigan.

Caden Scarlett ended the season with a 3-12 singles record and a 4-13 doubles record. He secured non-conference doubles wins over Ball State and Western Michigan, as well as a key Summit League victory against Drake with Tin Ostro.

Tomas Valencia was selected for the All-Summit League First Team after finishing the season with a 9-9 singles record and a 7-12 doubles record at primarily the No. 1 position with Adrian Dibildox. In singles play, he defeated opponents from Saint Louis University and Drake. In doubles competition, Valencia and Dibildox earned non-conference victories against Western Michigan (Mid-American Conference) and New Mexico State (C-USA).
