The Missouri Valley Conference has announced its Pre-championship poll results in anticipation of the 2025 MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship. The event is set to take place this Saturday at the Lew Hartzog Track & Field Complex in Carbondale, Illinois.
In the recently released poll, both the men's and women's teams from Illinois State University have secured top-two rankings. The men's team achieved a No. 2 ranking with one first-place vote and a total of 87 points. This marks an improvement for the men's squad, which climbed one spot and gained an additional first-place vote since the preseason coaches' poll conducted in March.
The Illinois State women's team also received a No. 2 ranking, amassing a total of 129 points.
For the women's teams, Indiana State leads with 144 points and 12 first-place votes, followed by Northern Iowa with 112 points. Murray State stands at fourth place with 90 points, while Belmont and Bradley are tied at fifth with 81 points each.
On the men's side, Indiana State holds the top position with six first-place votes and a total of 96 points. Northern Iowa follows closely behind Illinois State with three first-place votes and a score of 85 points. Southern Illinois ranks fourth with 66 points.
