Senior Macy Ludwig from Effingham, Illinois, has been recognized for her academic and athletic achievements by earning a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America first team. This marks the fourth consecutive year that a member of the Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) women's golf team has received this honor. Ludwig joins previous honorees Lexi Onsrud and Emma Thorman.

Illinois Wesleyan's total number of Academic All-America honorees now stands at 167, placing them in the top 25 across NCAA Division I, II, and III institutions, and in the top 10 within Division III. In the 2024-25 academic year alone, seven IWU athletes have been recognized with CSC Academic All-America honors. Alongside Ludwig are Jen Kuhn and Ava Khoury from softball, Nick Roper from men's basketball, Mallory Powers and Lauren Huber from women's basketball, and Kannyn Boyd from women's volleyball.

Ludwig had an impressive senior season as she was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Golfer of the Year. She also earned a spot on the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-Region team. Her performance included being named CCIW Women's Golfer of the Week three times and achieving a team-best average of 74.5 strokes per round over 12 events. Ludwig won the league championship and secured top-10 finishes in six tournaments. Notably, she recorded an even-par 216 over three rounds at both the NCAA Division I Redbird Invitational and CCIW Championship.

Graduating with a degree in marketing while maintaining a GPA of 3.90, Ludwig holds IWU's second-best career scoring average at 77.21 strokes per round.
