The deadline for students in kindergarten through fifth grade from the 106th district to submit their summer reading entry forms is this Thursday. Forms can be mailed to either of State Representative Jason Bunting’s district offices in Watseka or Dwight, dropped off in person, or submitted online.
Bunting stated, "We’ve had another great summer reading program this year, and the deadline for submissions is coming up later this week."
He added, "I will be treating those students who complete eight books this summer to ice cream at the end of summer vacation!"
Bunting was elected as a Republican to the Illinois State House in 2023 and represents the state's 106th House District, succeeding Thomas Bennett.
