The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team will play its final regular season game in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin on Wednesday, October 29. The Titans travel to Decatur, Illinois to face Millikin University as both teams aim to improve their standing in the conference.

Illinois Wesleyan enters the match with an overall record of 8-7-2 and a conference record of 3-3-1. The team has already secured a spot in the postseason after a 1-0 victory at Carroll on Saturday, October 27. In that game, sophomore Keira Robinson returned to action after nearly three weeks and scored the only goal for the Titans. Junior Sophie Lampert assisted by setting up the rebound that led to Robinson's goal. The win eliminated Carroll from tournament contention.

Ava Mapes is leading Illinois Wesleyan offensively this season. The junior from Golden, Colorado has accumulated 11 points and ranks third in the league for goals (four) and assists (three) over seven conference games. Senior Jenna Gravitt is also among league leaders with three assists.

Millikin comes into Wednesday’s match with a record of 4-9-4 overall and 1-4-2 in conference play. The Big Blue recently recorded their first CCIW win by defeating Augustana College 3-1 on Saturday, October 25. Millikin needs both a win against Illinois Wesleyan and favorable results elsewhere in order to qualify for the conference tournament.

Historically, Illinois Wesleyan has had success against Millikin with a series record of 27 wins and three losses. Last year, however, Millikin won their regular season finale against IWU with a score of 2-1. Sophomore Ellen Dahlquist opened scoring for IWU before Millikin responded late in the match.

Kickoff at Frank M. Lindsay Field is scheduled for 7 p.m., with live streaming and statistics available online.
