Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Unity Cosmetology College

Tuition and fees was unchanged for 2017-18 at Unity Cosmetology College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $17,725 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years.

Data shows 75 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 17 students received grants or scholarships totaling $60,120 and 16 students took out student loans totaling more than $102,694.

Including all undergraduates, 42 students used grants or scholarships totaling $313,747. Another 37 took out $180,399 in federal student loans.
