Fairbury Rural Fire Protection District responded to 31 calls in 2017 - 20.5 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Fairbury Rural included 28 fires - 20 structure fires, two vehicle fires and six other fires.

The department also received three false calls.
