Danvers Fire Department responded to 17 calls in 2017 - 19 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Danvers included 12 fires - two structure fires, one vehicle fire and nine other fires.

In all, the department saw $19,422 in fire loss - or about $1,619 per fire.

The department also received five false calls.

The Danvers Fire Department had an annual budget of $398,464 in 2017.
