Lexington Fire Protection District responded to 58 calls in 2017 - 28.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Lexington included 39 fires - 15 structure fires, nine vehicle fires and 15 other fires.

The department also received 19 false calls.

The Lexington Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $472,662 in 2017.
