Lexington City issued the following announcement on Aug. 22.
The City's Yard Waste Cart Program has entered its second phase.Yard Waste Graphic Thursday's collection day is the next to receive the service, with all carts in place a little ahead of schedule. Yard waste will be collected on weekly pickup days. Yard waste will not be collected if the rollout is not properly utilized. A flyer explaining more was attached to the carts upon delivery.
The Yard Waste Cart Program is another way to beautify the city, protect storm drains and provide citizens with a convenient way to dispose of yard waste. Seasonal leaf collection is not affected by this new program.
