BLOOMINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT: Armed Robbery

Bloomington Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 21.

On 09/21/2018, at approximately 4:09 a.m., Bloomington Police officers responded to the Super 8 Motel at 818 IAA Drive, Bloomington, IL., for an armed robbery call. An employee reported a male subject entered the business, armed with a handgun, and demanded money. When the employee informed the suspect that no cash was kept in an employee‐accessible area, the suspect battered the employee. The suspect the fled the area on foot.

The suspect was described as a black male, in his 20s, approximately 5'11" to 6'1" tall, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, small goatee, and a medium build. The subject was armed with a long barreled black handgun.

If your call leads to the arrest and indictment of suspect(s) you may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
