City of Bloomington issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.
Garbage and Recycle will be collected on Monday, December 24, 2018. Garbage and Recycle will NOT be collected on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Garbage and Recycle normally collected that day will be collected on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 along with the normal Wednesday route. Bulk and brush will be collected later in the week, as time permits.
On New Year’s Day, ONLY garbage and recycle will be collected. BULK AND BRUSH WILL NOT BE COLLECTED THAT DAY.
Christmas trees will be collected by the brush or bulk crews. Please place Christmas Trees at the curb after removing lights, ornaments, tree stands, and bags. Trees will be collected from residential properties only.
The Citizens Convenience Center will be CLOSED on December 24 and 25, reopening on Wednesday December 26.
